Expo 2010's Japan Pavilion was illuminated for the first time last night to get the celebration of its completion underway. The pavilion held its completion ceremony this morning.

The lights of the pavilion “breathed” during night. The semi-sphere on top of the pavilion looked like a "spaceship."

It is said that the pavilion is equipped with the most advanced green technologies. Like a living cell, the pavilion can absorb energy from the sun with its solar energy system, cool itself with a rain water recycle system and its ventilation system keeps “breathing” fresh air.
